« Îlots » réunit Nicolas Clauss, artiste qui explore les possibilités des arts numériques et Uriel Barthélémi, compositeur. Les deux artistes créent ensemble une installation numérique, visuelle et sonore inspirée du territoire haut-marnais. Plusieurs tableaux vidéo projetés dialoguent entre eux (par le jeu d’une mise en réseau) suivant une partition visuelle en interaction avec une partition sonore. Les deux partitions, écrites, laissent une place importante à la dimension aléatoire, ouvrant le champ des possibles, vers des jeux de synchronisme/asynchronisme, des collisions sémantiques et sensibles, créant ainsi des sens inédits. L’ensemble du dispositif favorisera l’immersion du spectateur dans l’image et le son, et alternera des formes et des rythmes invitant le spectateur à une réflexion contemplative, ou au contraire le plongeant dans un « tourbillon » visuel et sonore.
« Îlots » (Islets) brings together Nicolas Clauss, an artist who explores the possibilities offered by the digital arts, and composer Uriel Barthélémi. The two artists create a digital, visual and sound set-up together. Several projected video pictures conduct a dialogue with each other, following a visual score which interacts with a sound score. The two scores proffer a range of possibilities for the interplay of synchrony and asynchrony, and perceptible semantic collisions, thereby creating original concepts. The viewer is immersed in the entire concept which is an invitation to contemplative reflection, or, alternatively, it plunges him into a visual and sonic “whirlwind.”
